Course description
The "IP Office Basic Workshop R12" course is aimed at technicians who want to get to know Avaya IP Office.
No further prerequisites are necessary.
The first day is about the platform (hardware, telephones), installation requirements, software, licenses and updates,
after which the IPO is put into operation as a Server Edition demo.
On the second day, the system is given an extensive configuration with features such as "mobile twinning" and "day/night switching" and
various J100 telephones are installed. An important chapter is the topic of diagnostics and troubleshooting.
On the third day, there is an overview of the special features in Server Edition. Then there are practical exercises on the topic of Voicemail Pro Server.
On the fourth day, we deal with certificates, encryption (TLS), Avaya Workplace and Avaya Spaces.
After the introduction of oneX-Portal Server, there is another chapter on the topic of security and securing the PBX against hacker attacks.
The topic of customizing J100 devices with user-defined background images and ringtones will then round off the course.
The minimum number of participants is 3 people.
Technical requirements
- 1 laptop with VMware Player for 1 virtual server > 8GB RAM
- The IPO hardware is provided by AVAD
Target
The aim is to get to know the IPO and put it into operation.
The course participants know the different license types and know how to carry out an update.
After the course, they will be able to implement and program customer-specific requirements and scenarios in the IPO.
They can use the Avaya online tools (PLDS, knowledge base and support portal) and are able to
diagnose errors and problems using the appropriate troubleshooting tools.
The course will also provide enough time for questions about individual tasks.
The course participants will take a fully configured IPO home with them as a configuration file.
